Mobile Network Operator (MNO)
A mobile network operator, also sometimes referred to as a carrier service provider, mobile phone operator, or mobile network carrier is a telecommunications service provider organization that provides wireless voice and data communication to its mobile customers subscribed to its services.
Messaging aggregator
Businesses that want to send SMS must cooperate with SMS aggregators, who connect them to mobile phone networks, which send the texts to customers' mobile devices. SMS aggregators can leverage the best network infrastructure available by negotiating access arrangements with major carriers, allowing them to distribute text messages on behalf of their clients.
SMPP (Short Message Peer to Peer)
SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) is a flexible data communications interface for the exchange of short message data between External Short Message Entities (ESME), Routing Entities (RE), and Message Centers (MC). Applications use it to communicate with mobile devices and send and receive SMS messages.
